Prayer for the Welfare of the State of Israel / Tefilah l’Shalom Medinat Yisra’el
This was composed by Rabbi Yitsḥak haLevi Hertzog, edited by Shmuel Yosef (S.Y.) Agnon in 1948 and
was instituted by the Chief Rabbis of Israel. It is recited in synagogues in front of the Torah Scroll while the community is standing every Shabbat and Holy Day.
Kalman is a "Creative Scribe" – merging the ancient biblical craft of scribal writing with artistic creation to achieve unique and beautiful artworks that blend Hebrew letters, prayers and quotes from the bible with his related artistic vision. All his works are done using a quill feather on animal skin.
