DVORAH BLACK-ARTIST

Dvora was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. She studied Art and Music at Rhodes University in South Africa, where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art and also Education Diplomas in Music, Art and English.

She moved to Israel, with her husband Johana,n in 1984 where she began a studio specializing in illuminated Judaica. She draws inspiration from the beautiful flowers and variety in the Israeli landscape, together with the richness found in a Jewish home and family.

Dvora Black’s hand-picked flowers from the hills of Jerusalem form the central design in many of her works of art which focus on Blessings and Prayers.
